What’s special about this opportunity?

Berkshire Healthcare Foundation Trust can provide you with a dynamic, people-centred environment, where you will be empowered to give the next generation the very best start in life.

Located in the grounds of St Mark’s Hospital in Maidenhead, the Kiddies’ Cabin is a well-equipped, purpose built, single story log cabin, with two spacious outdoor spaces, where children can explore and play, and an on-site kitchen that provides fresh, nutritious food to keep them fit and healthy.

With a maximum of 63 children attending at any one time, and cared within different rooms according to age, the Kiddies’ Cabin received a five-star rating at its latest environmental health inspection and a ‘Good’ rating in its most recent Ofsted report.

A fun, creative and inspirational place to work, we receive excellent testimonials from parents, one of whom reviewed us saying: ‘Kiddies' Cabin had been an amazing, constructive, solid and safe environment for our daughter to grow in . . . a place to grow in respect, care and knowledge. With values and standards that we consider to be central for her well-being, learning and civic development.’

Working in a passionate team, you will have access to our Trust-wide Learning and Development programme and be supported in your career and personal growth with opportunities to help you to build your Continuing Professional Development portfolio, extend your skills and ensure that you excel.

We are pioneers in compassionate leadership and Quality Improvement, which is about creating a culture where everyone has a voice and where service users and staff collaborate to have a direct impact on the things that matter most.

About you:

You will be an enthusiastic and experienced nursery nurse with an NVQ 3 or equivalent qualification. With exceptional communication and people skills, and a great sense of fun, you will be an inspirational member of our team, striving to be your very best and supporting colleagues in creating a stimulating, friendly and caring environment. You will be pleased to share your knowledge when mentoring more junior team members and keen to build healthy, collaborative and communicative relationships with parents. Most importantly, you will respect that each child is an individual and use your creative skills to develop a lively, enjoyable and nurturing environment in which they can grow.

What’s next?

If you share our passion for people and the dedication to excel, we’d love to hear from you.
