Coventry Primary Mental Health Team - Rise

1.0 WTE (37.5 hours) Permanent

The Primary Mental Health Service in Coventry has a fantastic opportunity available for a full time Primary Mental Health Practitioner

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, motivated and creative health or social care professional who will be an integral member of our multi-disciplinary team. You will be passionate about supporting children and young people’s mental health with a focus on early intervention and prevention ensuring children, young people, families and professionals access the right support at the right time to support mental health and well-being. You will have a keen interest in delivering psychoeducation, training and working collaboratively with a range of professionals, across schools, children’s services and our partners in the third sector to benefit children, young people and their families in Coventry.

As a Primary Mental Health Practitioner you will benefit from relevant knowledge and experience of mental health and experience and transferable skills of working with children, young people and families. You will have experience in the delivery of training and facilitating group work.

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, motivated and creative health or social care professional who will be an integral member of our multi-disciplinary team. You will be passionate about supporting children and young people’s mental health with a focus on early intervention and prevention. You will have a keen interest in delivering psychoeducation, training and working collaboratively with a range of professionals, across schools, early help services and other health and social care organisations, to the benefit of children, young people and their families in Coventry.



The team is based at Paybody building in Coventry, where you will benefit from mutual support from and to your colleagues from the wider RISE service. RISE is a family of NHS-led services providing emotional wellbeing and mental health services for children and young people in Coventry and Warwickshire. The RISE ‘family’ includes the Navigation Hub, Dimensions, CAMHS crisis team, Core CAMHS, Neurodevelopment Team, Mental Health in Schools Team, Eating Disorders, Looked after children (LAC) and the Intensive Support team. The Rise ‘family’ works collaboratively to ensure any child or young person in Coventry and Warwickshire received the right support at the right time, so that no matter where a young person accesses a service, ‘no door is the wrong door’.
