The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals is looking for a strong inspirational leader experienced in and passionate about education, training and research to join us as an Associate Director of Education for Nursing, Midwifery and AHPs. This new post offers the unique opportunity to lead and shape the education and development strategy for Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Professionals in the UK's sixth-largest Trust as part of our journey to outstanding. We are committed to building a unique learning culture that provides outstanding learning, development and research opportunities for our staff. As such, the post holder will be required to work effectively and collaboratively to deepen and strengthen the development and expansion of education, training and research across the Trust and beyond, leading the continued evolution and implementation of joint strategic initiatives.

The NNUH is a large teaching hospital that serves around 1 million people and provides tertiary services across the region. You must, be able to demonstrate a proven record of accomplishment of developing and delivering large-scale education, training and/or research programmes. The post holder will also be required to develop and expand a comprehensive portfolio of education, training and research activities. These activities include undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and apprenticeships, short courses, CPD, clinical leadership courses, and active online activities.

If you have significant experience in leading education, training and research within complex organisations then we want to hear from you. You will have the skills to work with colleagues in all parts of our Trust and the health and social care wider system. You should also have strong people management skills. You must be a very experienced leader and manager comfortable working within complex organisations and able to evidence success as a strategic change leader with first class influencing skills. The successful candidate would need to be an excellent communicator, both in terms of relaying and delivering information but also in building relationships and working collaboratively across varying levels of management, different teams and organisations.
