We are looking for an experienced Band 5 Practitioners, ideally with current anaesthetic/theatre experience, to join the team in Jubilee Eye Suite. The role will involve rotating throughout the department (ie ward, pre-assessment and theatre). If you do not have specific ophthalmic experience we will be very happy to teach you the nuances of our fascinating speciality. A secondment opportunity would be considered.
You will be joining a well-established, friendly team of professionals who deliver a very high standard of care to all of the patients we look after.
You will be expected to be professional, flexible, hardworking, a good team player and, most importantly, have excellent patient care at the centre of everything you do.
Jubilee is a small, well organised and busy day surgery unit. We undertake a range of ophthalmic procedures under local and general anaesthetic. We have a pre-assessment clinic, a ward, theatre and recovery so you will have the opportunity to learn skills in all of these areas. If there are areas that you are unfamiliar with it will be our pleasure to support your learning.
The staff in theatre work from 08:00 - 18:00 and there are opportunities to undertake private work in the evenings and at weekends.
The ward is staffed from 07:00 until 19:30 and again there are opportunities to undertake private work in the evenings and at weekends.
There is a full time and a part time position available within the team.
If you feel that this is an area you would like to work in please come and visit us, see what we do and meet our fantastic team.
