Salary – Grade E £20,092 FTE Temporary for one year in the first instance Full Time 37 hours per week Term Time plus 1 week
Fred Nicholson School is a Complex Needs School meeting the needs of young people from 7yrs-16yrs with learning difficulties and associated needs. We are currently recruiting and this is an exciting opportunity to join our Residential provision, The Treehouse, where our dedicated, hardworking and imaginative Residential team are based.

This role is for 37 hours a week, term time plus 1 week, Grade E There is an additional 5hrs per week contract for term time only attached to this role to be used where necessary.
Residential Hours are:
         Monday – 13:45-22:00
         Tuesday – 07:45-09:30 & 14:45-22:00
         Wednesday – 07:45-09:30 & 14:45-22:00
         Thursday – 07:45-09:30 & 14:45-22:00
         Friday – 07:45-09:30

There will be sleep in duties attached to this role which are an additional payment.
This post is for one year in the first instance.
The successful candidate will be working as part of a team in The Treehouse, under the guidance and direction of the Residential Manager; the candidate will encourage and support each individual’s learning through a 24hr curriculum, which is achieved through a wide range of activities and experiences.

have good people skills, can build positive, professional relationships with children and show commitment to working in a caring, supportive team. You will also need a level of resilience and a sense of humour.
have a commitment to training - we are committed to our investment in staff and you will access an induction programme, whole school CPD opportunities and any further training that may be appropriate to your role.
have a level 3 in Health and Social Care or be willing to successfully complete this once in post.
