As a training lead, your role is to lead a team of trainers to provide an engaging and successful learning experience for our colleagues. The learning will focus on developing the competence of our colleagues, ensuring they have the knowledge, skills and behaviours to thrive in their roles, delivering a first-class service to their customer. It’s an exciting time to be joining the people development team with plenty of opportunities in this role for you to shape and develop the learning offer for our colleagues, ensuring they have the right knowledge, skills and behaviours to thrive in their roles. You will be able to bring creativity and influence to support the development of a learning culture that is colleague led.

You will lead your team of trainers to deliver online and face-to-face learning for subject areas such as coaching, working with customer skills, and deliver these sessions (where required) yourself. You will be a fantastic coach, able to offer coaching training as well as 121 coaching for colleagues. You will design and oversee the induction of colleagues, ensuring our DNA is fully embedded, working with leaders in the business to establish training needs, creating an annual prospectus of learning. You need to evaluate training, implementing improvements accordingly, and offer support to the learning experience manager to design, develop and source exciting learning content for technical competency frameworks.

You will work in collaboration with the training lead (operations) to ensure tracking, KPI’s and reporting, and covering the role in their absence. You will review, improve and develop the additional digital content used by trainers to ensure these are highly engaging for colleagues and deliver on learning outcomes; including podcasts, videos and webinars.

As a training lead, we are looking for:

  • Strong learning and development professional – experience of leading an operational L&D service
  • A recognised qualification in L&D – desirable
  • Experience of delivering learning events to a high quality in a variety of different formats (including classroom and online)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and build relationships
  • Experience of leading a team
  • Excellent facilitation skills, taking a coaching approach
  • Ability to create a learning agenda and encourage a learning culture
  • Resilience, be comfortable working within a constantly changing environment
  • UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
  • A commitment to our DNA and be a great ambassador for Bromford.
