My client prides themselves on their values and are very proud to be one of the most innovative providers of young people’s residential UK. This successful provider specialises in providing the highest standards of care for Children with Emotional and Behavioural difficulties.

The home is a small service providing a friendly and safe environment for young children. My client has a long history in child protection and their years of experience have shown them that high quality therapeutic childcare helps children and young people learn to deal with their past experiences and prepare for the future.

Qualifications and experience:
• Willingness to work towards Level 3 Health and Social care with children’s and young people
• Be prepared to work 24 hour shifts (sleepovers) on a rota
• Hold a full UK Driving license
• Be over the age of 21

The key responsibilities include:
• To support the personalised development of each Resident.
• To respect the dignity and individuality of each Resident.
• To ensure a high standard of personal care for each Resident, including matters of physical wellbeing and personal hygiene.
• To be aware of the emotional needs and aspirations of each Resident.
• To work within the residential environment providing developmental support to residents.
• To action and construct Residents’ Individual Programme Plans and keeping accurate records as required.
• To ensure the safety of the Residents at all times.
• To support other members of the site staff in their therapeutic and developmental work.
• To undertake any training identified as necessary in order to carry out the role effectively.
• Work within the spirit and intentions of the Equal Opportunities and Equality & Diversity policies and procedures and report any concerns to your line manager immediately.
