An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Emergency Surgery and Elective Care Business unit on Ward 3 at Hexham General Hospital. Ward 3 is a 24 bed elective orthopaedic/surgical ward.
We have a 25 hour per week, permanent post for a Nutrition Assistant, included in this role there are also 4 hours per week allocated to job of healthcare assistant.
Duties involved are general nutrition duties as designated by the Ward Manager, Sister, or nurse in charge. The main element of the role is to assist and deliver the nutritional element of patient care.
We manage three major locality hospitals at North Tyneside, Wansbeck and Hexham, plus a number of smaller community hospitals and clinics from Tynemouth to Berwick on Tweed, covering one of the largest geographical areas of any NHS trust in the country.
