Summary

The primary aim of the post is to reduce the risk of reoffending and harm presented by those children and young people subject to YOS interventions including statutory orders DTOs and bail. Good outcomes for children / young people and the wider community will be supported by:

Accurate and thorough assessment of risk and need by utilising YOS assessment tools supported by information derived from sources including the young person family/careers, education providers , police and health and social care professionals.

Buliding Effective and supportive realtionships with young people , their families/ careres and partner agencies, to ensure that plans and interventions are coordinate, that they are innovative, creative and centred around the young persons needs and risks.

Provide a joined up response to manage risky behaviour reducing reoffending and addressing welfare needs. Flexible and dynamic approaches are used to meet the complex needs of young people to enable them to understand and engage with the support plan.

Please note this is a contracted position of 3-6 months with the possibility of extension depending on budgets and performance.
