This is a temporary, service development and research, Assistant Psychologist role working into Stroke Medicine. It’s an exciting opportunity to support a Clinical Psychologist in our expanding multidisciplinary team, to develop and support the psychological aspects of the service.
Central to the role is the development, delivery and evaluation of defined psychological components of Stroke Rehabilitation provision.
The successful candidate will be working in close partnership with multi-disciplinary colleagues on in-patient wards, the Early Supported Discharge Team, and other stakeholder partners across health, social and third sector care.
The post is supported by national research funding and a central role will involve the evaluation of the provision and contributing to the team’s research reports to the funding body.
The successful candidate will work alongside the Clinical Psychologists working into the service. They will develop close working relationships with the healthcare team(s) being worked into and liaise closely with primary care and other partner agencies where required.
