Health Innovation Manchester’s (HInM) Delivery Team is recruiting to meet the demand of its exciting and growing business portfolio which includes local, national and global initiatives.

Operating in conjunction with the wider work of the devolution agenda, Health Innovation Manchester (HInM) is an academic health science system leading a programme of innovation across the entire health and social care community to ensure population health needs are met in the most efficient and cost-effective way. Established to drive innovation into the system, the role of Health Innovation Manchester is to act as a systems enabler, partnering with academia, industry and healthcare providers, helping to connect emerging research with industry innovators, accelerating the development and adoption of innovations and aligning them with the region’s most pressing health and social care challenges.

The Project Support Officer (PSO) will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective service, supporting senior managers and staff within the Delivery team, in supporting, coordinating, planning and scheduling activities, events, and meetings for programmes across the organisation’s portfolio; from project initiation through to final completion and revenue and healthcare impact realisation.

Supporting the delivery of projects to agreed business requirements, agreed timescales and budgets in line with corporate project management standards; take responsibility for creating and motivating teams as appropriate.

Working with stakeholders, to ensure that projects meet business requirement, specifically ensuing the benefits realisation plans are in place and delivered. Ensuring effective project communications so that all stakeholders receive timely accurate and appropriate information and are able to provide their input to the project.

Based on defined responsivities, take account ability for ownership of project deliverables and day to day management of project issues including escalation where required. Identifies risk and issues and recommends control measures and actions and logging these as appropriate on the project management system.

We are looking for a team player who is proactive and enjoys working both as part of a team, as well as on their own initiative. You will be assigned a portfolio of projects to support as well as managing day to day activities and incoming enquiries for the business unit.
