This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and talented individual to work within the Great Western Hospital's Estates team to for a minimum of 12 months.
You will be joining a team that is focussed on driving sustainability forward throughout the organisation. This is particularly relevant at the moment as there has been a significant change in how we operate, work and engage with patients due to Covid 19.
Working alongside colleagues from all over the organisation you will help to design, deliver and measure the outcomes of sustainability projects, whilst assisting the Trust reduce carbon footprint in line with NHS targets for net zero carbon emissions.
Being a proactive individual; you will have all the necessary qualifications, knowledge & experience required to ensure that the Trust is fulfilling its statutory responsibilities regarding waste and sustainability. The post holder will develop policies and work with colleagues across the Trust to provide compliance with all aspects of environmental legislation whilst improving the patient experience. The Sustainability manager shall be responsible for managing the energy and waste budgets of the department.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communicational skills as the ability to build effective relationships across a wide range of staff groups and services.
