The Ear, Nose and Throat Department is based at the Freeman Hospital and is one of the largest and most advanced centres in the North of England, providing a comprehensive range of emergency and non-emergency services for both children and adults.
The department is excited to be able to offer the opportunity for a reliable, hardworking and motivated Clerk/Typist to join the paediatric secretarial team at the RVI. You will work with the current outpatient staff carrying out duties which will include scheduling appointments, working on reception, coordinating patients’ case notes for clinics and dealing with patient telephone queries amongst other general office duties.
You must possess a minimum of 4 GCSEs, Level 9 – 4 (used to be A-C), including English Language and an OCR I or equivalent level qualification or relevant experience. You must possess good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
You should be able to integrate well with the existing team, be flexible in supporting the functions of the department and have a genuine desire to contribute to providing a quality service for patients.
Full Time 37 hours 30 minutes/week
