Avensis Support is an organisation committed to providing an excellent residential base for looked after and vulnerable young people (16-18 year).
Our aim is to create experienced, committed, compassionate and passionate teams of people to work with our young people from an entire range of backgrounds, cultures, ages and genders. We are seeking applicants who have a degree of resilience, empathy and patience for working with vulnerable group of young people.
Ideally the applicant will hold/or be willing towards achieving a Level 3 Diploma in Leadership for the Children and Young People’s Workforce/Youth Work or Health & social care and preferably have experience working (paid/unpaid) with young people in care/residential settings or youth work. Working towards a relevant degree/or obtained You will be: -
• Committed to working with vulnerable young people with complex and challenging needs.
• Be able to use your own initiative and manage in challenging situations.
• Have a good understanding of Safeguarding. (All training will be provided)
• Be enthusiastic and highly motivated to promote an outstanding and inspirational service and also motivate our young people.
• Possess good written, IT and communication skills.
An ability to connect with young people and have resilience
• good record keeping and managing logs including up to dates files and logs for young people.
• Develop young people in promoting in independence living
>Support Young People into education, employment or training.
• MUST be available to work variable shift patterns and there
may be occasional sleep in to follow a management on call system as required.
Staff will need to be flexible and adaptable and act as Corporate Parents/Role models.

Flexible works, 22- 48 hours minimum available per week. You will be offered contract that will transferred to permanent based on outcome of probation period.
