A position has become available for a Band 6 Orthotist (salary dependent on experience) to join the existing Orthotic team at North West Boroughs Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
The post would be considered as a development post commencing as a band 5 with progression to band 6.
This post is subject to an enhanced with children’s and adult’s barred listDisclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check. Successful candidates will be required to pay for the cost of the DBS Disclosure which is £44.00, the cost of which will be deducted from first salary.
The successful candidate will manage a varied and sometimes complex caseload with close working relationships within the Rheumatology and Diabetes MDT clinics and links into the major trauma unit, neuro, trauma and orthopaedics and community paediatric physiotherapists aiding the long term rehabilitation goals of those patients. The post holder will work across inpatient and outpatient settings.
IMPORTANT:The role will involve regular travel across multiple sites in the North West Boroughs Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust catchment area. Therefore, the post holder must be able to meet the travel requirements of this post. Please indicate on your application how you meet this requirement.
From 1stJune 2021 our Cheshire and Mersey Services will transfer to Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust.
Successful candidates will therefore either commence with Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust if the start date is after the transfer date. If the start date is before the transfer date your employment will TUPE transfer to Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust.
