Summary

About the role: The Marketing Events & Tourism (MET) subject group sits within the Department of Business and Management and are seeking someone who can contribute fully to departmental activities, including, research, teaching and external engagement.

The focus of this role is to deliver outstanding learning outcomes for our students though exceptional teaching and learning on academic programmes within the department and also to engage in, research. knowledge exchange or other activities that enhance and inform teaching design and curriculum development.

We deliver an innovative practice-led curriculum where research informs teaching practice at UWE Bristol and have a range of well-established stakeholder engagement activities regionally, nationally and internationally.

About you: Candidates should hold a postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline, and be committed to teaching and research. The post holder will join a vibrant and growing Marketing & Events team comprising 35 academic members of staff, and will be expected to make a significant contribution to teaching activities of the group at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

We particularly welcome applicants with emerging research profiles, or industry experience and proven ability to teach and lead in the areas of Digital marketing, Business development and International Business. The nature of the subject group's teaching means that candidates should be confident, outgoing and comfortable working as part of a teaching team on large modules as well as independently on specialist marketing modules.
