We are looking for Café Workers for Deben Café on HMS Vale following a yearlong Covid closure. We are in the process of reopening our unique café located on an old warship based alongside Melton Boatyard.

We are searching for honest, reliable and trustworthy Café Workers who have experience providing professional friendly customer service, operating a till and using good cooking skills.

You would be involved with all aspects of working in a cafe including serving drinks, helping to prepare and serve breakfasts, wholesome lunches, and bar snacks, in addition to keeping our cafe hygienically clean.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who would enjoy working in our unique, fast-paced environment, and be directly involved with building on our excellent reputation of being the river Deben’s favourite local spot.

Pay: £7 to £9 per hour depending on your age and experience. This is seasonal work April to Oct with option to renew annually. Winter hours may be available to the right person.

Plus Bonus. This will be paid monthly based on your performance and productivity.

Plus End of Contract Bonus. If you remain with us for the whole season you will be eligible for an end of contract bonus based on performance and productivity. Continuous assessment to determine progress.

Guide hours: 40 hours per week but we would consider 2 cafe workers working 20 hours per week each.

Café opening hours: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday (closed Tues, Wed) 9am to 5pm. Your working day will fit around these opening times.
