£9.50 per hour if you’d prefer to work on our bank on a casual basis

We have a fabulous opportunity for you to join our awesome team. We support our brilliant customers who have offending history and at risk of reoffending.



The Rosemead property is supported accommodation for 10 customers and a further 5 bed spaces at our move on house in Wimborne Road. The property is situated in walking distance to sunny Southend sea front and the main high street. The property is a well-maintained Victorian House with a large back garden where we have 7 hens and 2 rabbits which are part of our garden project which all staff and customer get involved with.



We help our customers address their offending behaviour to become independent and move back into the community.

About our team



You’ll be working alongside our fabulous team who are super passionate about supporting customers to reach their goals and celebrating their achievements. To us were not just a team we’re a ‘work family’. Our manager is Alison who has managed the service for 8 years.



There are 7 of us in the team and we don’t just love to support our customers, we’re there for each other too! Ian is our Support Coordinator and has been with the for service for 6 years and he enjoys Kravs.



Larissa is our Support Worker and has been with the service for 5 years and she is into food and exotic travel. Jon has been with us for 2 years and is our Support Worker and he spends time in the garden with the hens. Tyna is our part time Support Worker and has been with us for 3 years and she loves travel and the natural world. Jose is our full time Housing Concierge and loves food and fitness.



Working hours



You’ll work Weekends 21.00pm – 5am or 22.00pm – 6am.



Bank



Looking for a more flexible working pattern? You can also join us on a flexible basis by being part of our bank. You can work hours that fit around your current commitments or even pick up some additional shifts to your main role to earn some extra cash and get paid on a weekly basis.



About you



As our Housing Concierge you’ll play a really important role in supporting the smooth running of our services. You will ensure the safety and securing of our buildings and of our customers, and make sure we get on with our neighbours!



You’ll get involved in lots of different activities which will include monitoring CCTV, regularly patrolling the premises, monitoring visitors to and from the building and ensuring tenancy conditions and service rules are adhered to. As our housing support Concierge, you’ll also provide out of hours cover being the first point of contact for our clients during the night and at times we’ll also need you to do some general cleaning duties too.



You’re passionate and motivated to help vulnerable people make positive and lasting changes to their lives. You’ll impress us with your ability to work on your own initiative.



If you’re not the biggest fan of technology, that’s not a problem to us. You do need to know that we are quite a high-tech company and most of our application process and mandatory learning are online. However, we’re glad to support you, if you need help.



It would be amazing if you have worked in this type of environment before, however it’s your “can do” positive attitude and enthusiasm that are critical to make this role a success. We can nurture your talent, just let us know in your cover letter why you have a passion for working here!



When you join, you’ll need to have a valid Enhanced Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service. The great news is that we will pay for that to be done if you don’t have a transferrable one.
