Summary


This is an exciting opportunity to join the PMOA Directorate of South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust

The General Manager post will take day to day responsibility for the operational running of two specialist wards (MBU and AED eating disorders ) AED Day services and AED outpatients and four community Perinatal teams.

The post holder will gain experience by contributing to the development and implementation of the Directorate and Trust service strategy, in particular transforming services in line with the 'Long Term Plan', focusing on delivering targets and service improvements that will enhance patient care, improve the patient pathways, enhance the quality of service delivery and deliver performance targets, whilst identifying potential efficiencies.

The General Manager will be part of the Directorate’s Senior Management Team and will work with a team of clinical service leads and specialist clinicians, as well as providing line management support to ward managers and clinical service managers.

For this role, we are looking for ambitious candidates with a significant level of clinical experience and the ability to balance a busy operational role whilst supporting the strategic development of the inpatient wards and outpatients services. You will be a credible and visible leader and an experienced manager who will be able to demonstrate effective people leadership skills together with a track record of operational management, budgetary management and implementing service improvements.

About the location:

Our Trust headquarters is located at Denmark Hill less than 5 minutes from the train station (zone 2). We also provide services and operate across other locations, such as London boroughs of Croydon, Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark; and substance misuse services for residents of Bexley, Lambeth, Greenwich and Wandsworth.
