Summary

Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust are looking for a full time Building Services Engineer, who is diligent, hardworking and will ensure the Trust complies with the Healthcare Technical Memorandum Series, NHS Estates Policies and Principles and associated management and design guidance to create and maintain an estate that delivers the right environment to support the provision of high quality healthcare and the wellbeing of staff

As Estates Building Services Engineer you will be responsible for complying with all statutory instruments and guidance ensuring best practice related to the effective operation of the Trusts estate and planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs.

You will hold a time served professional qualification.

The successful candidates will be required to have a methodical approach to their tasks and have the ability to turn their hand to anything. They will need to demonstrate effective communication skills, be self-motivated and have the ability to time manage tasks, working flexibly to provide proactive leadership and be a positive role model. You should also be able to interact at all levels and work well as part of a team.

Please note the hours for this vacancy are 37.5 per week.

This role is part of an exciting merged trust and the successful candidate will be working closely with a multi-disciplined engineering team in order to ensure full compliance across our Estate.

The qualification, training & experience requirements for the role are underlined in the Job Description/Person Specification.

This post requires the post holder to be able to undertake all statutory and mandatory training and post holders must be able to undertake physical interventions. Fitness for physical intervention will be assessed by Occupational Health.

A valid UK driving licence is essential and the successful candidate will have the use of a van throughout the working day.
