We are currently recruiting for a Hardware Engineering Team Leader. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and hardworking individual to join a busy and fast-paced team.

For this role you will need a good degree, or equivalent, in electronics engineering or computer science. You will also need experience in the below:
• IEEE embedded design
• Electronics circuit design, integration, and test within a project environment
• Experience with audio codecs and video codecs (MPEG4, H264)
• Vision technologies within consumer electronics.
• Baseband technology within mobile phone environment
• 3G/4G, NB IoT technology
• DVB H experience
• USB expertise

As a H/W Engineering Team Leader you be responsible for the specifying and designing of customer electronics hardware from concept, specification, and testing, through development to mass production according to agreed project timescales and costs.

The role will involve working with customers to specify and agree electronics design deliverables; working on technology solutions in conjunction with customer; understanding product requirements in terms of cost, design and timescales and create plans to achieve these objectives and producing HW design specification for formal customer review.

You will also be creating formal work plans as part of the overall project plan; ensuring that electronics hardware deliverables meet overall project milestones; providing budgetary design costs and track throughout the project and liaising with mechanical and industrial designers to ensure integration compliance.

In addition, you will be creating electronics schematics using internal SW to create required product functionality; be responsible for PCB layouts and electronic component selection; be responsible for firmware creation, integration and testing against product spec and liaising with global suppliers, sub-contractors, hardware, software and manufacturing engineering teams to introduce and integrate new technology.

Part of the role will also involve working closely with the mechanical engineering team to achieve required radiated RF and EMC performance and assuring the product meets internal and agreed product regulatory standards. Eg. CE/FCC/PTCRB/GCF/FDA/UL
