Lifetime are a team of Community Children’s Nurses, Psychologists and Support Workers working within the community for children with life threatening, life limiting conditions.
We are looking for resilient, highly motivated, adaptable people who will enjoy the unique challenges of caring for children in their homes and schools across the Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire area.
Lifetime work closely within multi-professional teams to support families to care for their children at home and in other community settings. Support workers will be trained and supported by Community Nursing team to deliver the care plan specific to the needs of each child and family.
Previous experience in caring for children with healthcare needs is desirable, demonstrating a willingness to learn is essential. Shifts will cover days or nights, with day shifts potentially starting from 7.30am or finishing as late as 8pm.
You will need to be fully mobile and able to travel to a variety of locations therefore access to a vehicle is necessary. Basic levels of English and Maths (GCSE level) are required for this role.
You will receive comprehensive training whilst undergoing competency based assessments. There are professional development opportunities for the right candidate.
The minimum contractual hours will be 18 hours per week – however up to full time hours are available.
