Summary

Introduction

Are you looking for a new exciting opportunity? then come and join our team in Markfield, Leicestershire.

A new supported living development in the Markfield area of Leicestershire has been built, as part the transforming care, supporting people to move back into the community. The location will consist of four specialist bungalows for adults with learning disabilities and who may be on the autistic spectrum and/or have complex mental health needs. We will be supporting 4 individuals on site in innovative and high quality housing designed to enable these individuals to live as independently as possible within the community. This is an exciting opportunity to support individuals to achieve new things and make huge positive changes to their lives; many of whom will have lived in long-stay institutions and hospitals for most of their lives

The location is planned to open at the end of April 2021, and we are looking for Positive Behaviour Support staff to start in March 2021, where you will be offered an induction programme, and be involved in the transition plans for individuals moving into the location.

We are currently seeking experienced Positive Behaviour Support Workers to join our team and support adults with learning disabilities and individuals who display challenging behaviours, who may be on the autistic spectrum and may have complex mental health needs.

Previous experience working with people with Learning Disabilities, complex mental health needs and behaviours that may challenge are essential due to the specific support needs of the people you will be supporting.

All our Positive Behaviour Support Workers complete shadow shifts before working with the people we support and those that have not previously worked in care will be supported with completing the Care Certificate.
