Job Title : Project Manager Construction / Drainage / Water
Location : Belfast

Project Management
• Project Management of major capital
projects to include but not limited to devising,
designing and managing the delivery of
efficient work schedules to ensure projects
are delivered within the given constraints
of time and cost. Continuous monitoring of
progress against programme of works.
• Day-to-day scheduling / management of site
personnel working across multiple sites for
different clients on small and large scale works.
• Working alongside the Fleet Manager, ensure
all plant and equipment is maintained,
serviced and upgraded as required.
• Responsible for organising the hire of plant
and equipment as necessary as well as
ordering site materials, building relationships
with suppliers.
• Undertaking various technical and feasibility
studies and site investigations related to
capital projects.
• Create and execute project work plans and
revise as appropriate to meet changing needs
and requirements.
• Lead on scoping, pricing, resourcing and
designing of commercial contracts to include
using CAD, GIS software and other packages
of work.
• Develop improvements to the data
management processes on client projects.
• Assisting with preparation and collation
of data for measurements, payment
submissions and valuations and preparation
and collation of data for contract reporting
deadlines and submission dates
• Identify the necessary resources and assign
individual responsibilities.
• Assist with the sourcing, appointment and
management of subcontractors employed on
capital projects
• Ensure that relations with the client and all
stakeholders in the project are maintained
and managed to an appropriate level. Lead on
client and management progress meetings.

• Promotion of good and best practice and
keeping ahead of advances within our industry
and seeking out new opportunities for growth
and expertise using innovative solutions
• Assist with the further development
of software packages such as MapInfo,
InfoAsset Manager, ArcGIS and Wincan VX


Skills & Knowledge
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar
Project Manager role delivering results in the
Drainage/Utilities/Construction Industry
• Qualified to at least degree standard in civil
engineering or relevant discipline.
• Strong project management skills working
on drainage, lining and civil engineering
construction projects
• Proven record of being quality driven “right
first time” approach
• Proven record of problem solving using a
methodical and cost-effective approach
• Experience of delivering excellent customer
focus skills and awareness
• Proficient user of MS Office packages
including MS project
• Full driving license
