University Hospital Plymouth NHS Trust has exciting opportunity to join the Cardiothoracic Theatre Team.
We are seeking to appoint highly motivated practitioners, who would like to gain skill and competency to become a Cardiothoracic theatre scrub practitioner. Successful applicants will be provided with a bespoke training package to support their development during a period of supported learning.
The Cardiothoracic environment is an innovative clinical area, that is on the forefront of leading innovation within this exciting surgical speciality. As a Registered Practitioner you will expected to work alongside and support the multi-discipline team deliver safe, efficient quality care in line with the Trust core values. The role does have the requirement to cover out of hour’s emergency activity and you will be expected to join the on call rota.
Plymouth Hospitals is a large acute NHS trust in the Southwest of England, situated on the Devon and Cornwall border and provides perioperative care for elective and emergency patients across the region. The hospital is a designated Trauma Centre and tertiary referral centre for Cardiac patients. The trust is a teaching hospital with close links to the Peninsula Medical School and the University of Plymouth.
