Responsible for:
Developing and delivering high quality employability provision and training for unemployed and economically individuals throughout Angus and surrounding areas as demand dictates. Committed to promote inclusion you will build capacity, deliver quality accredited and non- accredited training, information advice and guidance through a range of mediums and advise management and colleagues of priorities, developments and needs for this area of work.
Main Purpose:
Provide equal access and equality of support to allow disadvantaged individuals of Angus to progress into a positive destination of employment, further education and training.
Main Activities:
1. Through a variety of training mediums deliver a range of employability provision( centre and community based) that is appropriate to the clients/beneficiaries, and meets personal performance targets assigned to you.

2. Be responsible for the client development and reporting of progress through reports, client portfolio/ file/performance database/ team meetings and partnership meetings.

3. To undertake marketing and promotion of the services to ensure effective communication both internally and externally.

4. Working in partnership with other organisations and agencies, including the voluntary sector, local businesses and local authority, access external funding opportunities in support of the development and sustainability of provision and community work.

6. Deliver a range of differentiated, progressive, diverse and accessible programmes in a variety of situations, venues/geographical areas of Angus relevant to the needs of clients

7. Undertake targeted work in collaboration with other departments/centres within DEAP and other external related services and their workers.

8. With the support of the Senior Community Training Officer and other Senior Managers, ensure that appropriate individual Performance Indicators are achieved and management information is collected so that the effectiveness of the provision and community work can be measured against the objectives set out within the relevant projects/programmes.

9. Responsible for Health and Safety requirements for the delivery of services and community work/work placement/work tasters within a safe environment at all times, this includes meeting all legislative requirements

10. Responsibility for Equal Opportunities in delivery, access and attitude in all aspects of service delivery.

Travel throughout various communities in Angus is essential. A full clean driving license and access to a car (with business use insurance is required) travel allowance available

Flexible approach to working in other centres as the business needs dictate.
