Summary

We at New Directions are currently looking for Senior Residential Support Workers & Residential Support Workers for one of our clients Children’s Residential Home in Hereford.

This children’s home is a 4-bed mixed gender Therapeutic home.

This home supports children and young people with emotional behavioural difficulties and need positive behavioural management.

It is essential that the candidates are over the age of 22 and hold a valid driving license.
For senior roles, candidates will need to hold their NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young Peoples Workforce.

Key responsibilities of the role:

To undertake a lead role in ensuring the care and welfare of each child in placement.
To give guidance and support to all Residential Workers.
To be responsible for the supervision of designated members of staff and to record this in the Supervision Sheet on the member of staff’s file.
To raise any concerns with the Registered Manager as appropriate.

General duties:

To attend meetings and training as required.
To share the responsibility for creating a pleasant working environment.
To be flexible in hours of work in order to meet tasks required.
To be aware of Health and Safety regulations particularly as related to the upkeep of the building and its surroundings.
To undertake any other duties that may be reasonably requested.
To safeguard and promote the welfare of children and be aware of relevant policies and procedures.
Adhere to and promote the Company’s Equalities, Inclusion and Diversity Policy.
