People and Organisational Development Manager

Please note this role is fixed term contract for 6 months to cover a secondment.

NHS Midlands and Lancashire Commissioning Support Unit (MLCSU) is one of five CSUs
across the UK responsible for providing a range of services and support to clients including
clinical commissioning groups (CCGs), hospital trusts, local authorities, integrated care
systems (ICSs) and other public bodies. At MLCSU we have an organisation-wide focus on
the development and delivery of innovative, customer-focused solutions through our
structure, our culture and our approach to provider collaboration

About the People Team

The People Team at MLCSU is responsible for providing a wide range of people (HR/OD)
services both internally and externally to our customers. The ethos of the People Team is to
ensure MLCSU is the best place to work and that our people have a positive experience
whilst they are at work. This ethos runs throughout our entire team from recruitment to
people relations and organisational development with each of our colleagues being
responsible for ensuring their work helps to make the CSU a great place to work.

The role

Reporting to the Strategic People and OD Lead, you will form part of the People
Programmes Team with operational responsibility for delivering a range of programmes in
areas such as:
- organisational development
- governance and assurance (of and within the function)
- service redesign and transformation
- organisational change (including TUPE)
- learning, education, training and development

You will take responsibly for the operational delivery of wide range of projects and
programmes throughout the function.

About you

You’re passionate about People Services, adding value and championing kindness
throughout HR practices.

You’ll really enjoy working across a team, getting involved in a range of different activities
and broadening your experience.
You will be an experienced HR/OD practitioner bringing with you experience in delivering a range of projects/programmes within a human resources or organisational development/learning and development setting.

Whilst the teams and individuals working with you will be based all over the UK, where you
are based and work from is not an issue for us. As an organisation we have radically adopted
the principles of agile working in order to support the flexibility and work/life balance of our
people focusing on what you do rather than where you do it.
