Summary

What's involved with this role:
Five Cleaners are required on a temporary basis for 1 to 2 months. (Various locations in Rotherham). This role is on a part-time basis for 12.5 hours per week. As a Cleaner you will ensure that high quality cleaning is provided to agreed standards in a manner which is safe to you, colleagues and other building users. Previous experience of cleaning is essential, as this is a temporary role. Duties to include: Cleaning is carried out to agreed standards and in a safe manner, adhering to relevant Council and Service health and safety policy and related information.
Building users are provided with a safe and clean environment/place to work.
Effective communication takes place between you, the customer, supervisor, Area Manager and caretaker.
Business retention is supported by working flexibly and carrying out cleaning to agreed standards
Instructions/regulations regarding the use of chemicals and equipment are followed.
Ensures that adequate levels of cleaning materials and chemicals are available to carry out daily work.
Reports any problems, for example, with equipment to supervisor, Area Manager or caretaker.
Presents a positive image of the Service by wearing uniform provided.

Your recent UK working experience going back at least 5 years, or full employment history if you have been working for fewer years than this.

An Enhanced DBS is required for this role. Please give details if you have one already in place. Taking out an Enhanced DBS check is likely to be required as a precondition to starting the assignment. Your DBS must be either through us or be accompanied by a subscription to the DBS updating service

Knowledge & Skills: Able to follow basic instructions
Able to complete basic written documents
Willingness to undertake training related to the job as required
Able and willing to use powered machinery (with instructions)
Able and willing to move rubbish and light furniture, for example, desks, tables, chairs as required
Able and willing to use step ladders
Willingness to carry out all types of cleaning tasks and across all buildings and areas, for example, toilets, corridors, stairs, offices
Willingness to work in a safe way, adhering to relevant Council and Service health and safety policy and related information.
Willingness to maintain confidentiality Experience: Experience of cleaning - mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, damp wiping, polishing and dusting Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages Other preferable/desirable details to include on your CV, if applicable: Any local authority/public sector experience
