I am engaged on an exclusive project to recruit a Software Tester (UAT, Manual, Automation) for a leader in logistics based in the South. The role offers flexibility to be based from either Basingstoke or Christchurch with visits to the office once every two weeks on average.

Your new role
Logistics is thriving, and this will continue after Covid. This is a critical role, reporting directly into the Development Manager and with genuine opportunities to progress your career. You'll be assisting in their Digital Transformation programme, working to move the Testing capabilities to be heavily automated. You will work on transactional Ecommerce Web Apps and Websites with a focus on CI/CD.
Day to day you'll take ownership of the business test framework, carrying out comprehensive quality assurance testing for all product developments, which will include release and system testing. You'll review functional and design specifications and will develop and document functional test cases and other test artefacts (test data, data validation scripts, harness scripts and automated script).
The team run Agile/Scrum and you'll maintain a close relationship to clarify requirements with development teams and product owners, ensuring a quick testing turn around. With this in mind you need to be in a commutable distance of Basingstoke or Christchurch, as you'll likely go into the office for project kick offs, strategy meetings etc.
What you'll need to succeed
* Comprehensive experience covering UAT, Manual and Automated Testing. The ability to design, build and execute scripts that can verify the software satisfies both functional and non-functional requirements.
* Experience testing Ecommerce Websites / Web Applications.
* Developing test plans and coordinating testing activities between internal business Functions and 3rd party teams.
* Experience of testing APIs (Manual and Automation)
* Experience of working in an Agile development environment (SCRUM, Kanban, TDD, BDD)
* Demonstrable experience of performance and automation tools - (Selenium / LoadRunner / Cucumber / SoapUI)
