We are looking for a positive, enthusiastic forward thinking band 6 Nurse to work with our existing team to help lead our busy Ambulatory Emergency Care Unit (AECU) forward through its covid-19 recovery stage and beyond.

You will have excellent communication skills across all disciplines. Experience in General Medical nursing is essential to this position, as is an understanding of the daily pressures of coordinating a busy Assessment area with 15 accompanying beds.

The post holder will be required to work clinically and managerially within the AECU and to take charge as required including deputising in the absence of the unit manager. They will also be expected to support the Unit Manager with administrative tasks.

Part of this role is holding the medical referral bleep to ensure that HCP/GP admissions are sent to the appropriate area.

You will be supported to develop within your role by the Unit Nurse Manager and the existing Band 6 team within the AECU, as well as the medical team consisting of NPs, TACPs/ACPs and Doctors.
