Summary

Introduction

We are currently recruiting for dedicated and passionate Waking Night Support Workers to join Affinity Trust working in the Keighley area. The role will involve supporting adults with learning disabilities with complex needs and challenging behaviour. A successful applicant will need prior experience in the field, and ideally have a sound working knowledge of the principles of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) as well as sharing the values of Affinity Trust.

Springfield Mill is an ever-developing service, which consists of 13 bespoke developments, which have been built to accommodate and support adults with learning disabilities who may be on the autism spectrum and/or have complex mental health needs. We have an already established team in place who are making a difference to people every day; and we are now looking for additional staff to join us.

This is a great opportunity for a support worker looking for a new challenge with the potential for further development and training, as well as those wanting to actively supporting individuals to become independent in their own home and in the community. Whilst this role may involve supporting those with challenging behaviour, this position is highly rewarding as you will be integral to the day to day lives of people, actively supporting them to achieve their goals, aspirations and independence.

Skills & Experience

Joining our team at Affinity Trust will allow you to make developments with your career in the Health and Social care sector; whilst contributing towards improving the quality of life for the people we support. You will need to be experienced in supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs including behaviour that challenge.

This is a part time position, working nights as part of a flexible rota, which includes weekdays, weekends and bank holidays.

Your role will be to provide responsive support during the night as required by the person supported, as well as some light household duties.

You will be required to attend training and team meetings during the day, and so must be available to attend these outside of your normal night work pattern.
