It’s an exciting time to join Home Group as we build more homes, independence and aspirations – the vision that underpins our five-year strategy. Our commitment to deliver on our customer promise, build the right homes in the right places and be market leaders in New Models of Care, is in the hands of our brilliant people.

You’ll be joining our brand-new Repairs and Maintenance team, where you’ll be responsible for the delivery of our customer focussed service to void properties. Delivering high levels of performance, productivity, quality and cost-effective services.

Through the effective management of your team, you’ll provide continuous improvements and service innovation for positive outcomes for our customers, colleagues and stakeholders.

When you join, you’ll discover that it’s our brilliant people and culture that make a difference. We are No. 10 in the UK’s Best Super Large Great Places to Work, 6th Best Place in the UK for Great Places for Women to Work, 18th in the Stonewall Top 100 and hold Investors in People Platinum Standard!

About our team

You’ll be working alongside our fabulous team who are super passionate about delivering first class maintenance services to customers.

You will have the support of a fantastic management team, our Head of Design and Performance David, who loves the great outdoors and being out on his mountain bike. He also teaches and practices meditation!

Our Maintenance and Contract Manager Matt, who has recently joined Home Group with 14 years’ experience of housing and maintenance services, who when not looking after his young family, can be found exercising in the gym or walking around the countryside to tire the little ones out!

You will join a team that doesn’t just love to support our customers, we’re there for each other too!

When you’ll work

It’s the team’s unwritten rule that you attend the important appointments in life, be it your child’s school play, your partner’s graduation, or to get your new fridge delivered. You can elect to fit these around your working day or use your flexi to take the time off. Our focus is on getting the job done, not your working hours!

About you

You’ll have an HNC/HND level qualification in construction related discipline or strong equivalent experience built up through your working profession. It would be great if you are a professional member of RICS or CIOB accredited but this isn’t a deal breaker. You will have managed teams to deliver housing maintenance, responsive repairs and voids services.

Through your experience of managing the Health and Safety of a direct workforce, you’ll have a relevant Health and Safety qualification with an understanding of compliance and health and safety regulations relating to maintenance and construction works.

You keep projects and programmes of work on track, on time and on budget through brilliant collaboration and communication. You can confidently challenge, interpret contracts, data, statistics and insights to identify trends to drive performance.

Here at Home Group we have invested heavily in our future and use current and up to date equipment. You’ll be issued with the latest kit, which could include a Surface Pro and mobile. So, it's really important to us that you are technologically savvy (or at the very least not a technophobe!)

Travel

You’ll have the chance to shape your own diary, being office or home based, however you'll likely spend a proportion of the week travelling to void properties and checking health and safety, progress and standards are being maintained.
