25 annualised hours per week
As a social care worker you will contribute to Bridgend County Borough Council’s Independent Living and Residential Extra Care service, delivering an efficient and effective service whilst meeting the principles of the Social Services and Wellbeing Act 2016 (Wales) and CIW Care Inspectorate of Wales.
Supporting and assisting people whilst working within the principles of a ‘Home for Life’ model in an Extra Care facility. Working in partnership with Linc Cymru Housing to support people to maximise their independence whilst enabling people to achieve agreed and positive outcomes.
You’ll be required to participate in shift work, which includes mornings, afternoons and night shifts. You will also work weekends and bank holidays as part of the rota requirements. The hours will be arranged by the Care Manager /Team Leaders of the service and is subject to change to meet the demands of the service.
You will be responsible in delivering a safe and quality service.
Ideally, you will have some experience of working in the Health and Social Care Sector. You will need to be committed and be prepared to undertake appropriate training.
There will be a number of posts available in the two new schemes located in Maesteg and Ynysawdre Bridgend. You will need to be flexible and be able to work across both Extra Care Schemes as and when required.
