This is a permanent full time post of 37.5 hours.

Are you an enthusiastic registered nurse, who relishes working in a diverse, challenging and exciting clinical area? Ridgeway and Purbeck Wards currently have a unique opportunity to appoint a staff nurse to join their well established, friendly, professional and successful team.

Ridgeway and Purbeck Wards provides an ideal environment for successful applicants to learn about a wide variety of surgical specialties. We care for predominantly elective and trauma Orthopaedics; however, we also cater for elective ENT, urology and general surgery.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate an ability to provide high quality, safe nursing care which is driven by patient experience and evidence-based best practice. Safe and timely discharge planning is an essential aspect of this role, which is paramount to promoting effective utilisation of the beds on the unit.

The successful applicant must be a qualified nurse with experience in working within the acute hospital setting. Applicants must have the ability to work well as a part of the multidisciplinary team as well as individually and be able to adapt to frequently changing situations.
