An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, motivated individual to join us as our Senior Resuscitation Officer to lead the Resuscitation Service as part of our Physical Health Team.

You will have a current professional qualification as a Registered Nurse, Registered Paramedic or Registered Operating Department Practitioner with a passion for education and resuscitation practice. You will have experience at providing ILS and CPR/AED (BLS) training inline with the Resuscitation Council's UK guidelines.

You will ensure that our multi-disciplinary staff receive the resuscitation skills and knowledge required to deliver care during a medical emergency, cardiac arrest or care of the deteriorating patient across Kent and Medway.

The successful candidate will line manage and work closely with the Resuscitation Officer and will be the nominated lead and local expert for this specialist area of practice. You will be responsible for the development and provision of a comprehensive Resuscitation Service across the Trust, ensuring that systems are in place to inform staff of the Trust’s resuscitation policies and procedures.

You must possess excellent leadership and communication skills, are able to demonstrate a flexible approach to your work, are self motivated, innovative, professional and a team player who will be responsible for developing the Resuscitation Service with the support of the Physical Health Team Manager.

You will undertake and support the relevant RCA reviews in area of speciality using RCA methodology when required and have a proven track record of service improvement and will be able to demonstrate evidence of change management.

The interview will include a short presentation.
