Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, Band 6
Full time/37.50 hours per week
Fixed Term ending November 2021
“I'm very excited to continue our partnership with your S< team again, as we've been so very pleased with the service we have received from your team so far.”
The Children’s Speech and Language Therapy Service in Greenwich is part of Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust which has been rated amongst the top 10 in the HSJ (Health Service Journal) list of 100 best NHS organisations to work for in England.
We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our School Years teams to cover maternity leave.
We are a large team with an organisational commitment for CPD to enhance clinician’s skills within areas of interest such as autistic spectrum disorder, dysfluency, language disorder. Working in our service provides excellent career prospects for those wishing to further nurture and develop their specialist clinical skills.
The Royal Borough of Greenwich is a large and culturally diverse London borough with good transport links into the centre of the city. The Service has excellent internal supervision and support structures and would provide the ideal environment to develop clinical skills and contribute towards operational projects to support service development.
Our links with our partners in health and education are strong, which is emphasised by the continued commitment from many schools, nurseries and children’s centres to continue to commission ‘top up’ speech and language therapy services directly, meaning the impact of our work is far more significant than can often be delivered within solo commissioned services.
If you are a speech and language therapist with the relevant experience and looking to take on more responsibility we would love to hear from you.
Please do contact us to discuss this job opportunity further, by calling 020 8836 8621, to speak to Julia Longthorne or Nazia Rizwan (Service Leads - School Years and Extended contracts).
Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust operates a Probationary Period, further details are available on request.
