The NHS Long-Term Plan calls for a step change in advancing practice requiring capacity to be built at national, regional and sub-regional level, e.g. in Sustainability and Transformation Partnerships (STPs)/Integrated Care Systems (ICSs) or ‘faculties’ to drive change.

HEE’s National Centre for Advancing Practice has been established to standardise routes into advanced practice, accredit advanced practice programmes and recognise registered health and care practitioners who demonstrate the capabilities set out in the advancing practice or consultant practitioner framework and the national education standards for advancing practice.

With HEE’s National Centre at the hub, the concept of a ‘Faculty’ at both regional and sub-regional level is a virtual ‘hub and spoke’ model; based on strong co-production, co-ordination and extensive stakeholder engagement on all matters relating to advancing practice.

We are looking forTWOProject Support Officers who will be responsible for supporting the Regional Project Manager ensure successful implementation of the advancing practice portfolio at regional and sub-regional level.

These Project Support Officers will have specific responsibility for:
• Providing high quality project, service, initiative and administrative support including information and analysis
• Undertaking reporting and analysis of information to support delivery
• Enabling, promoting and supporting the effective use of data, information, knowledge and technology to improve, inform and support a portfolio of projects, services, and initiatives

The roles supporting job description provide a more detailed overview of the tasks, responsibilities and outcomes associated with this role. As the team and the function develops the job description and person specification may be reviewed on an ongoing basis in accordance with the changing needs of the Department and the Organisation.

Postholders will report to the Midlands region's Advancing Practice Faculty's Regional Project Manager.

These posts will be based in one of HEE's Midlands regional office (Westbridge Place, Leicester or St Chads Court, Birmingham), and under normal circumstances will require frequent travel throughout the region and sometimes nationally.

These arepermanent postsand are being offered at Band 5.

Applicants will commence at the bottom of Band 5 with a full-time starting salary of £24,907, with pay step increases after 2 years’ service and 4 years’ service.

These salaries are offered in accordance with NHS Terms and Conditions and the HEE Pay Progression Policy and are subject to annual cost of living review.
