Here at The Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust we are looking for an experienced District Nurse to join our hard-working and dynamic leadership team in Adult Community Nursing. You will clinically lead a team of District Nurses including Senior Nurses, Staff Nurses, Healthcare Assistants and Trainee Nurse Associates as well as Nurses working towards achieving their Specialist Community Nursing Qualifications in District Nursing.
Adult Community Nursing in Wakefield and the Five Towns Area operates with planned and un-planned nursing teams enabling workload and capacity to be managed to the optimum level, we believe in giving patients the best possible experience through high quality care.
As the District Nursing Team Leader, you will be responsible for the provision of excellent nursing care delivery to a diverse population of patients. You will not directly hold a case-load but will be expected to demonstrate your clinical credibility by supporting and supervising staff with their clinical workload and by being visible within your team.
You will have excellent communication skills and candidates will be expected to demonstrate a proven track record of dealing with complex situations including the sensitive handling of complaints, being active in high level meetings as well as being able to present and articulate clinical information in relation to the RCA process and Datix investigations.
You will work alongside a team of experienced Team Leaders, Locality Matrons and Practice Educators to improve standards of care for patients in Wakefield and the surrounding area and you will be supported and encouraged to develop your team to the highest clinical standards.
