Days : Wednesdays 10 am – 3pm (times can be flexible)

Further information A Personal Assistant is required to support a young man with autism in his 20’s living in the HU7 area of Hull.

The young man enjoys going out for walks, and social outings such as shopping and going to the cinema.

The successful applicant will be active, positive, confident and extremely supportive. You will promote his independent living and life skills such as making purchases, and you will also encourage him to eat a healthy lunch.

You will be very aware that this young man has no health and safety awareness, particularly whilst crossing the road and you must ensure his health and safety is of paramount importance at all times

Applicants should have a genuine interest in working with disabled people, be honest and trustworthy, and have a confident nature with the ability to remain calm.

Experience of supporting young people who are autistic would also be an advantage
