A Female Personal Assistant is required to support a 9yr old young lady in the HU7 area of Hull. The young lady and her family require support in the family home to assist with personal care including showering/bathing. The young lady has Dravet Syndrome, a form of epilepsy; knowledge of this condition would be useful, but not essential as relevant training will be provided. Applicants should also have a strongly developed sense of social justice in supporting the social inclusion of young disabled people in their local community. In addition they should be honest, reliable, and good at communicating with young people, tolerant and non-judgemental and able to build good relationships with young people based on trust and respect. Due to the nature of this role including personal care the potential employer will be considering female applicants only for this post in accordance with the provisions of the Occupational Requirement (Equality Act 2010, pursuant to Schedule 9 part 1).
