A Personal Assistant is required to support a 19 year old young man living in the HU7 area of Hull to access college and leisure activities such as the Gym. The male enjoys art, working out, Anime, comics, superheroes and especially Comicon. He attends Comicon events. Their favourite foods are pizza, Japanese food and all American sweets.
He would like to employ a PA who is patient, enthusiastic, fun but supportive.
The male would like support to access local public transport which currently they struggle with due to anxiety. They would like to become confident in their community and to feel safe and included when out and about.
The PAs role will be to support him to and attend college and engage in social activities; improving his confidence, life skills and promoting independence.
He is an articulate young man who has autism and is sensitive to noise and unplanned contact/events. Routine is key to managing his anxiety levels however he would like to work with the PA to develop confidence and strategies to enable him to manage change/unpredictable events.
Offer of employment may be subject to a DBS check via the Disclosure and Barring Service, the cost of which will be met by the local authority.
