X X X Salary Range: £21591 - £23838 To work as part of the Adult & Communities Adult Social Care Finance team to carry out financial assessments for service users in receipt of Chargeable services provided by Adult Social Care in accordance with the Care Act 2014 and associated Regulations and Statutory guidance and the council's charging policy and to provide advice regarding state benefits, signposting or referring on as appropriate. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: • Managing a caseload • dealing with the public • dealing with queries and correspondence • substantial, demonstrable and relevant experience of working with a computerised financial and data management systems • understand the importance of confidentiality and data security • the ability to effectively communicate in writing and converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for this post • to be able to work without direct supervision and manage own time effectively to ensure tasks are accurately completed and deadlines are met, acting with high levels of trust and personal accountability • ability to gather information, analyse, understand and respond to what internal.external customers need and expect • understands service requirements for management information • an understanding of and commitment to Equal Opportunities, and the ability to apply this to all situations • must be able to perform all duties and tasks with reasonable adjustment, where appropriate, in accordance with provisions of the Equality Act 2010 • Ability to travel to service points within Leicestershire County Council in a cost effective way • Smart appearance commensurate to the duties of the post • Able to obtain and maintain DBS check
