The Trust is embarking on a significant and exciting programme to improve the quality of the estate from which it provides care. A Strategic Outline Case that demonstrates the need for investment, in line with ‘Your Care, Your Future’ and the wider healthcare strategy for west Hertfordshire was approved by the Trust Board in July 2019 and the Trust has recently been announced as one of six Trusts set to receive significant investment as part of the Health Infrastructure Plan. The Strategic Development team is now preparing for the next phase of detailed planning.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic and proactive individuals to join the Strategic Development team to provide administrative support. We are planning to recruit two administrators to work with the programme team to provide support to senior managers leading both service and estate planning for the redevelopment. You will support and co-ordinate a multi-disciplinary team; provide PA responsibilities to the senior managers leading redevelopment planning; and provide wider administrative assistance to the team. The role will provide development opportunities across a range of skills as the programme develops and the team expands.

The role requires multiple skills and the ability to organise and prioritise different workloads. You will engage with a wide group of staff and external partners, including members of the Trust executive and senior management team, so excellent communication skills, attention to detail and team working will be essential. You must be well-organised, have excellent diary management skills, the ability to arrange and minute complex meetings, and have the ability to work flexibly, independently and to deadlines.

These posts are full-time, though we are open to accept applications from those who wish to work flexibly, in line with the requirements of the role. You may be required to travel across the Trust’s three sites on occasion.
