Improvement Products & Services
The mission of the Improvement Directorate is to help the NHS to increase the quality of care, support the NHS meet constitutional standards, reduce unwarranted clinical variation, and ensure the most effective and efficient use of resources across the health service.
The Products and Services group are responsible for the management and continuous improvement of the Model Health System (model.nhs.uk) digital product and associated products, knowledge bases and insight provided to the NHS to support improvement.
The Products & Services Group will provide an enabling service to all other groups within the Improvement Directorate and the Data, Analysis and Intelligence Service (DAIS) group. Working in collaboration with colleagues across DAIS, the product team will also be responsible for the delivery of major programmes of work such as the population health management dashboard, the patient-level costings analytics portal and programmes including knowledge management and online communities.
Senior Analyst Manager
The purpose of the Improvement Products & Services analytical team is to design, evolve and create world class analytical work and products to provide actionable insight and training to internal and external customers.
The Senior Analyst Manager will lead on designing the approach to data analysis, mechanisms for measurement and frameworks for reporting within the directorate as required.
The Senior Analyst Manager will undertake insightful analysis to develop an understanding of the underlying issues facing NHS organisations (and how these will change in the future), and / or the appropriate solutions available to directly address these issues.
The post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective service supporting managers and staff across the Improvement Directorate to design, evolve and create world class analytical work and products to provide actionable insight and training to internal and external customers.
They will also liaise across the Improvement Products & Services analytical team and data analysis teams elsewhere in the organisation to agree statistical approaches, drive best practice and ensure effective data usage across internal teams.
The post holder will be practically minded, collaborative and an influential team-player with strong attention to detail and a working knowledge of NHS structures and information systems.
