We are looking for an exceptional and inspirational Hospital Redevelopment Programme Director to join us.
Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust is an integrated organisation providing acute health care services, community health services and adult social care, the first Trust in England to join-up hospital and community care with social care. With c. 6,500 dedicated staff, we have 500,000 face-to-face contacts with patients in their homes and communities each year and see over 78,000 people in our A&E department annually. We serve a resident population of approximately 286,000 people, plus about 100,000 visitors at any one time during the summer holiday season.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of developing new state of the art health and social care facilities for the population of Torbay and South Devon. Torbay has a long history of developing integrated health and social care and upon becoming the first Integrated Acute and Community Health and Social Care Organisation (ICO) in England in 2015, TSDFT has been recognised as a national leader in the development of integrated working to support the delivery of care closer to home. A Strategic Partnership and Engagement Group is being formed, and will include local councils, NHSE/I, public health, further education and research partners, health and social care providers and service users. This will oversee a collaborative programme to deliver health and social care infrastructure to support new ways of working in health and wellbeing delivery for the population of Torbay and South Devon (circa 300,000) and ensure TSDFT is well placed to develop the next stage of its plans to enable a Full Business Case to be delivered in the next few years.
The post holder will lead on the delivery of this visionary project. This is an ideal role for an experienced Programme Director with vision, energy, enthusiasm and the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders and collaborate with partners to deliver this significant change.
