Tender Procurement Officer

• Working within the Borough Council’s Housing department
• Reporting to the Building Contract & Procurement Manager
• To manage, tender and contract for, a wide range of projects or schemes with effective procurement strategy in accordance with standing orders and EU requirements.

• Liaising with operational experts to develop pre-tender documentation and seeking approval to proceed
• Opening electronic portal tenders and managing open tender activity – communications, site visits, clarifications etc.
• Assess tender returns
• Managing the full end-to-end tender to strict timelines
• Resolving tendering issues, managing risks and liaising/communicating with the necessary persons
• Ensure all construction work is carried out in accordance with the latest Health and Safety, and Construction Design and Management Regulations via robust tendering activity
• Handing over completed contracts to the delivery teams

• Procurement background
• Tendering, electronic or otherwise, and associated legislation (OJEU preferable)
• Contractual documentation
• Delivery of capital and planned maintenance programmes
• Budgetary management
• Stakeholder management
• Construction Health & Safety and Construction Design and Management regulations

Rate: £14.67 - £18.00 per hour (PAYE – LTD)
Hours: 37.00
