Dorchester Integrated Community Rehab team are looking for an experienced Physio to work as part of the team for a fixed-term of 4 months.

The team consists of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Nurses and Rehabilitation Assistants that work as part of a larger Integrated Team supported by Community Matrons, Social care staff, Advanced Practitioners, Administration Assistants and health and Social Care Co-ordinators.

The team provides intermediate care and physical rehabilitation for the adult population of Dorchester and the surrounding rural areas. The MDT works across 7 days per week to support people in their usual place of residence to avoid unnecessary hospital admission or to support early discharge. It also provides longer term rehab for people with a range of physical presentations such as neuro, stroke, falls, balance, mobility, respiratory, MSK, orthopaedics and many more. All input is provided within the persons own home or care home.

The post holder would ideally have experience of working in a similar setting and be able to work as part of a large team as well as autonomously managing a caseload.

The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills and must be willing to work flexibly with the rest of the team to cover the changing priorities.

Employment in this post requires a Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The DBS levies a charge of £40 and the Trust will recover this cost in instalments from your first 3 salary payments.
