About the Department

What is the Role?

Reporting to the Operational Excellence Manager, The Operations Project Manager is responsible for developing and delivering operations projects, which includes supporting future projects and developing and implementing a performance environment for current operational sites.

Some of your main accountabilities will include;

-Protecting SSE and the owners interests in overseeing the technical, financial and commercial strength of the offshore wind farm development project(s)

-Continuously improving the O&M model for the project(s) to ensure it can be safely operated and maintained whilst optimising yield and controlling costs.

-Supporting, implementation and evaluation of specific O&M KPIs for continual improvement.

-Development of Operational plans with consideration to Operational philosophy, service strategy and OFTO interfaces.

Skills and Experience

Due to the nature of this role, we are looking for you to have the following;

-Project Management experience preferably with a continuous improvement background (Lean processes, operational excellence etc)

-Operational and/or Engineering experience of offshore wind farms

-Understanding of SHE, Governance and risk management processes

-Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of adapting across all levels in the organisation, up to and including the Board of Directors

-Budgeting experience with strong analytical skills - both quantitative and qualitative
