The Director of Engagement, Involvement and Communications is a new post created in response to our new Trust Strategy – 2019-2024, where we have recognised we need to improve how we engage, involve and communicate with patients, staff and stakeholders.

This need is captured by our Involved People strategic objective: Patients, the public and staff tell us that they feel involved in the planning, design and evaluation of our services, and we recognise we must deliver on this objective if we are to achieve all ten strategic objectives by 2024.

As Director of Engagement, Involvement and Communications you will be supported to think differently to try new ways of engaging and involving patients, staff and stakeholders. You will build and lead a virtual engagement team comprised of teams from across the Trust and line manage our Communication Team to make it easier for the public to engage with us, to improve the quality and frequency of staff engagement and set the tone and voice of the organisation.

We are seeking a talented individual with extensive experience at senior management level in patient/ customer/ service user engagement, involvement and communication for a large organisation in a complex, high pace sector.

Reporting to our Director of Strategy & Transformation you will work closely with all members of the Board and Trust Executive team, our Governors, clinical and operational leaders and ICS Partners to ensure we achieve our ten ambitious strategic objectives.
